Learning Objectives:
1. To cultivate students’ physical literacy and interests in participating in a broad range of physical activities, as well as to build an active and healthy lifestyle throughout their lifetime.
2. Each key stage of learning targets:
- KS1(P1-P3):
1. Mainly to develop fundamental movement skills through movement activities and physical play.
- KS2(P4-P6):
1. Mainly to develop basic and generic skills through introductory activities and modified games.
2. Mainly to learn following rules and regulations, and demonstrate a sense of fair play.
Course features:
1. Hiring coaches to provide systematic training to different school sports teams (including Track and Field, Swimming, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Table tennis, Badminton, Rope skipping, and Chinese Dance team), to improve sports skills, to promote sportsmanship, and to create a sense of belonging in school teams.
2. Cooperating with different organizations to provide students with various sports activities outside the curriculum, which aims to realize student’s potential, including but not limited to Jockey Club, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Hong Kong School Sports Federation, and InspiringHK Sports Foundation.
3. Applying for community resources to assist in the training of athletes at the grassroots level, such as Octopus Kids’Nurturing Programme and Student Athlete Support Scheme.
